i have a subaru legacy brighton, 1995 2.2 engine AWD. when i start, i only hear a click. then after a few clicks it will start. i had the baterry check and its ok. i only notice though that, whenever i use the heater, when i turn off the engine and start again, it took 5 to ten times of click before it start. is it my starter or something else?

I sound like the starter motor is faulty, the click will be the solenoid engaging but current is not flowing through the contacts (common problem with all starter motors) Check that all power cables are clean and tight, and the battery posts are clean and tight first, if problem persists have the starter motor o/hauled.
