I hear a whining noise coming from the fuel pump when the car is idling (I've got a 1989 Subaru GL wagon); I know it sounds crazy, but I'm positive that's where it's originating. The fuel pump was replaced last year, though. Any suggestions?

Its very easy to replace the pump in these a kid could do it in the back pull up the rug and there is a panel with one screw in it take it out and youll see the top of the gas tank it comes out very easy I believe there is 5 bolts take them out pull it out and just replace it just make sure the wires go back in the right spot if not youll have a big problem it very simple most new fuel pumps come with instuctions so just make sure you follow them carefully make sure you disconnect the battery and spray part cleaner on all the bolts and nuts and let sit for about 30 mins any other questions just post it also if you just had it replaced you should have some kind of warrenty most are 2 year free replacement
