Electrical problem
1998 Subaru Legacy All Wheel Drive Automatic
tried to start it one day, turn the key and nothing happened (like the battery was totally dead) . tried again and the third time it started like nothing was wrong. the next day it did it two more times, same way, a few tries and it won't start right up. I thought I had a old battery so I replaced it (did not test it ) and bingo the problem was solved.
two weeks later it did the same thing, not a slow turn but no power at all like a totally dead battery, but it started after a few tries. the next i tried to start it, it repeated the same thing. when it started I could hear the starter motor was still running so i shut the car off. the engine stopped but not the starter. tried turning the car on and off again but starter won't stop. i had to disconnect the battery to stop it. and that is where i am. ?
