1998 Subaru Legacy 4 cyl All Wheel Drive Manual

I have a 1998 subaru legacy with 175k on it. I just changed plugs and wires due to rough idle and new tapping noise. I bought a compression tester and they are all at 165- 170 except # 2 it was 0. I removed valve cover gasket to view springs. They seem to all work, now what?

Most likely a valve is not seated, burned or 'missing'. I.E 'dropped valve' this would have made an obvious noise when it happened

if any of these are happening, the piston chamber will not seal. Hence no compression.

Another possibility is a hole in the piston itself
