1996 Subaru Legacy 4 cyl 148000 miles

If underneath the car, the valves (both sides) and the engine between the valves were greasy.

How can I know the engine has the internal leaking.

Thanks.

Hi there,

You can have a small amount of seepage from gaskets and seals with out any problem, what you don't want is oil dripping, i would give the engine a good wash and re check after a few days, often it will just be rocker cover gaskets and you bay be able to nip up the bolts to stop any slight leak.
