2000 Subaru Impreza Car alarm reset and now my car wont sta

Can anyone tell me how to fix my car the battery died and I put a new one in but when I hook the new battery up the car alarm reset but when I bought it I didn't know it had an after market alarm installed I don't have a remote and I cant find a valet switch every time I try start my car the dash just blinks and it wont even turn over everything still works the headlights, stereo, windows, power locks it just wont turn over for me

Try getting on the ground so you can see under the dash. If a little black button is not sticking out of the underneath below your steering wheel, then look up into the wires on the left. You should find the button just attached to 2 wires. Re-connect the battery, get in and close the door, put key in to ON position and push the button for 15 seconds. The locks should go 3 times, hold it down the whole time. Then start it. If it still doesn't start, hold the button down while you start it. Be careful of the wires, mine broke off of the button and I am dealing with reattaching them with electrical tape. Pain in the a**!
