Hello,
My car has the check engine light on. It was checked and it came up with code P16CF which was the rocker arm control valve (solenoid) and it was replaced with an AC Delco replacement. I was advised that since it had a miss to begin with, it was probably the intake one and not the exhaust one. After replacement, the check engine light went off but later that day came back on and started missing worse. The P16CF code is still coming up after checking again. Any ideas what could be going on? This is my daily car and I need it to be trustworthy again.

Thanks,
Josh

It sounds like the part is defective or the wiring came off. Here are the repair procedures so you can see how to do the job correctly. Also check the oil level and change it if it needs it.

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.
