Mine is bad and I see a lot that seem to fit my car. Does it have to be the exact part number? 6e5t-14b476-Ck or can I get one similar?

Hello,

If you are going to replace it with a Ford or Motorcraft part then I would make sure to get the exact part number. If you are using an after market part then I would cross reference it to make sure that the part will work as it is intended to. It is not good to second guess engineers. It has always been my opinion that the Ford Motor Company pays their engineers a lot of money to make their cars, and that know a little more than me when it comes to their vehicle's parts and why they are there and what they are supposed to do. So I don't second guess them.

Thanks,
Alex
