Hi! So, my key got stuck and I decided to take out the ignition to get it unstuck. While doing this I accidentally broke the skreem in two. The circular part is now not connected to the box part. Is there any way to put them back together or bypass it? I have been stuck for 4 days on the side of the road in a sketchy neighborhood. Please help!

Hi, I'm Dan.

Unfortunately, that SKREEM module is part of the theft deterrent system. The car will not start without the correct coded signal being sent from the module. If it's broken it will require replacement and programming. The programming can be done by a Chrysler dealer or a mobile locksmith.
I've attached a description of the how the system works and the procedure to reprogram it.

So, I got the SKREEM put back together and on but like you said it still won’t start. The red light stays on. Will I be able to program it myself in any way or will I have to have a dealer or locksmith, do it?

Just to jump in on this, if you take a look above at what Dan attached, you will see the info on how to program the skreem. However, if you have not replaced it and still have the same keys and it will not start, then I suspect you have a theft light remaining on. If that is the case, then it is because the module is broken and needs to be replaced.

When you replace it, you will need two new keys and a scan tool capable of performing the programming or a locksmith to come out and perform this.

Please let us know if you have questions. Thanks
