I have a 2016 malibu limited and for some reason just before shifting into 3rd gear it feels like I let off the gas a little but I don't. The rpms don't surge or do anything abnormal but I can feel myself lean forward just a little. Even if I turn the radio up so I can't hear when it's about to shift I still feel it so it's not just me. It does it a little going into second by not as much. It does do it bad just enough to notice. Also if I get up above 3rd and let it coast when it shifts from 4th to 3rd it feels like I hit the brakes and then when it shifts to 2nd you can feel it let back up. Took it to the dealer and the idiot there just tried to tell me it's normal and some b.S. About gear ratios. I drove several other malibu with the same engine and transmission and none of them do this. They all upshift and downshift smooth. Again, it's not real bad, just bad enough to be noticed and it can't be normal. It almost feels like it's hesitating just a little before shifting.

Good morning

the shifts are controlled by the throttle position sensor on the throttle body.

It would need to be monitored with a scan tool to see if the voltage readings are correct.

Beyond that, there may be an issue with the valve body.
