Tires are locked, idles in gear when clutch is not engaged, shifts into reverse without clutch and it will not move even after going into gear.
Brother was driving down a country road, threw it into neutral, then tried to put it back in gear, but it would not accelerate. Wheels were fine when towed, but immediately after parking the rear wheels locked up and it wont budge. Shift cable appears to be fine, but I am not sure.

If it shifts fine etc. Then it may be a rear parking brake issue or frozen caliper. Check to see if parking brake is on. This is a four wheel drive car so it has to be a brake or wheel bearing issue. So those will need to be checked out. Maybe parking brake is not releasing because of a stretched cable. If brother is younger or maybe a show off they like to hit parking brakes and spin the car around to show off. So it may be hung up.

Clutch seems to be functioning correctly, but I am no professional. What are some key things to look for? Should I worry about the pressure plate?

Check to see if when clutch is pushed that the hydraulics work okay. Check fluid in clutch master if hydraulic. Then have a mechanic look at it.
