Good afternoon,

Which solenoid? There are several.

Do you have a code for a transmission issue? If you do, can I have to code to be sure you are doing the correct repair?

I don't have a code. I was told it's under the transmission pan but neither one is visible when I pulled the pan down.

Is it possible that it's located on top of the transmission or inside of it?

Got it.

It is not in the pan. It or they are under the side pan on the drivers side on the valve body.

Why are you changing it if there is no code?

1. Remove the case side cover. Refer to Case Side Cover Replacement.
2. Disconnect the transaxle wiring harness.
3. Remove the 1-2 shift solenoid (315A).

This is involved.

You need to remove the drivers side axle shaft, release the left side of the cradle that supports the engine and transmission, and you will need a lift to gain access to the solenoids.
