2008 Scion xD Amount of oil drained

2008 Scion xD 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 30032 miles
I just performed an oil change on my Xd and after draining the oil from the oil pan and the filter, it measured a little under 2 quarts. The engine was warm and I allowed it to drain for 45 minutes. The oil that I use is Mobil 1 0w-20....is this type of oil a factor for a lesser amount to drain out? I park in the same spot everyday and there have not been any leaks of any sort since my last oil change.

The xD takes 4.1qts so to drain less is definitely surprising. You should take out what you put in, at least near it roughly only draining half that is concerning. You could be burning it up or it's being mixed with another fluid. Check the transmission and see if any oil is in there.
