Vehicle is losing a very small amount of coolant. Does not overheat and temp gauge is constant between a quarter and a half. Produces real good heat. Nothing noticeable under vehicle but can intermittently smell the coolant after driving. Had vehicle checked by my mechanic and they found a small leak at the intake. Anything to look for when replacing the intake gasket? Also, I just recently spoke with you in regards to a high idle and I am going to replace the coolant temp sensor. Can the coolant temp sensor be affected by the coolant leak at the manifold? Thanks for your time!!

No there's nothing to really look for when replacing the intake gasket it's pretty common for 2000-2002 dual over head cam models to leak coolant from the gasket just have the gasket replaced and u will be good on that one.as far as ur coolant temp sensor making the gasket no that has nothing to do with that leaking.they just leak I have replaced alot of intake gaskets that leak.leak me know how u make out.
