1999 Saturn SL2 ignition switch

The ignitioin switch is loose in the steering collum. How can I tighten it?

U can replace the ignition housing or just try replacing the shear bolts that hold it on which doesnt always work. Let me know which way u would like to try and ill help u out with info on that.

I's like to just replace the shear bolts, can I do this myself? How?

U can replace the bolts urself its not real easy though u have to remove the coulmn shrouds and igniton cyclinder get a thin long round punch with a sharp tip and u have to bite into the bolts head at differnt points and unscrew like that untill u can grab it with pliers to finsh unscrew it all the way then put the new screws in with a small reverse torx socket or inverted torx. Sound like something u want to tackle?
