My saturn had a misfire in the 4th cylinder about 2 months ago. Now it's idling very low, shaking, check engine light is on and flashing. When i'm on the highway if I keep it at a consistent speed it's fine, but when I try to gain speed it starts shaking and vibrating a lot. Is it possible to be the same problem. I'm taking it to the garage on thursday but is it safe to drive?

Yes it could be the same problem when the engine light flashs it means u have a code that could damage the cAt that code is usually a bad missifire.u could cause more damage to the car by driving it that way or u could get in a accident by the car not being able excellerate out of someones way while ur driving.so it's up to u if u want to keep driving it.
