1995 Saturn SL1 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

my 1995 saturn sl1 is idling at 3000 rpm why?

Most likely u have a vaccuum leak or a bad idle air control valve start by looking for a vaccuum leak check ur s shaped hose that goes from ur intake to valve cover the short one very common to get holes if that's it great if not with the intake tube on get some carb spray start the car up and spray around the intake throttle body etc at idle look for a rpm change if u find one u have a leak that's a good start let me know what u find.also donations and feedback is greatly appreachiated.
