Hello,

My car ended up overheating because the fan wasn't hooked up electrically so we set that up, but after doing so, the car started to diesel when I turned it off. We got the battery replaced at a garage and they unplugged the fan accidentally. I didn't realize this, but I did notice the car stopped the dieseling. However, due to the shut off fan, my car overheated again. Now that the fan's hooked up again, the car diesels and turns off late once again. Any idea what I could look at?

Thanks!

I would have to guess that the fan is not hooked up correctly. and when you turn off the ignition switch, the fan motor acts like a generator and supplies electricity to a circuit that keeps the engine running until the fan slows down.
