A few weeks ago I had my radiator replaced with the hoses, valves etc. Im sure the issue I am having now i probably not related to that. When I start my car now, it takes a second to catch, in park the rpms start way low, under 1000, but shoots to 2000 and settles back down to 1000 (all in park). Now My car wont start at all. If I leave it sitting for a couple hours, I can get it to start, but this is getting really annoying. When i turn the key, I hear the engine trying to turn over, but it doesnt. My lights and radio come on though. What could the problem be?

Check the coolant temperature sensor and clean out the idle air control valve and test the throttle position sensor-when all else fails do below

Get a helper disconnect a sparkplug wire or 2 and ground it to the engine -have helper crank engine over-do you have a snapping blue spark? If so-you have a fuel related problem, check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel filter/fuel pump/pressure regulator and listen to the injector/s are they pulsing or hook up a noid light. No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil packs, coil's resistances, distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors- Note: If it doesn't apply disregard it
