Transmission problem
1996 Saturn SC1 Automatic 136000 miles

I noticed the shifting acting up and the check engine light came on had it checked and it said gear three incorrect ratio...does this mean I have to get a whole new transmission??

it doesnt mean u have to get a new transmission.the most common cause of that code is ethier low line pressure in the transmission or a ur third geard piston is holding pressure.also a bad 3rd gear shift solindo or the wiring to it.what shifting problems are u having?do u have a delay in reverse?the info the better let me know.
