As I got to work this morning at the last stop light the car was a bit difficult to get into 1st gear. As I drove through the parking lot I noticed it was a bit difficult to get into second as well and the clutch felt "weird." As I rolled into my parking space I was in neutral and then realized the transmission would not slide into 1st, or any other gear including reverse. I'm guessing she needs a new clutch?

If you can see the linkage move into the gears on the transmission and it wont go into gear then you need to check your clutch out. Let me know what you find.

I think I miss understood what you said so if it goes into gear without it running will the car drive at all with it in gear? Also is the clutch pedal hard all the way down or does it go down a little ways before it gets hard?Make sure you check to see that your floor mat isn't under your clutch pedal keeping your clutch from fully releasing. Let me know.

If you start the car with the clutch engaged, to the floor, with the car in gear it will lunge forward if in 1st or back if in reverse. I guess the clutch won't disengage?

How does your clutch pedal feel though you could just have a bad clutch master/slave cylinder.
