Ok, here we go. Hopefully you can help me. I live in Canada. own a 1992 Saturn SC1. Bought it three months ago. Slowly noticed over the last few week, that the started had trouble starting the car. Car would make kind of a low "whirring" noise each time I tried starting. Eventually, I would get it going. Finally, one day, I went out the start the vehicle, and I got nothing. Just a clicking noise. Noticed kind of a smell, like the one you would breath in when an electrical wire is burning. you know that smell? Well, anyways, I got another starter, installed it, and things were running again perfectly. Car would start like a charm. Then, next day, went out to start the vehicle, and this time nothing. Unlike the last episode, there wasen't even a clicking noise. Just nothing. What could it be?
