Hey Mr K,
Did the gauge work before you changed the fuel tank? Was the old fuel pump reused or was it a salvage tank and pump?

It could be the sending unit, wires, or the gauge itself.

There is a three wire connector located under the carpet over the drivers rear wheel well. There are purple, grey, and black with a white stripe wires. Check that the connection is clean and tight. Also with the car running one wire should have 12 volts. Do not probe for more than a few seconds as you can ruin the gauge.

Good luck and let us know. :)
