How much toque for bolts that go from head to engine

97 sl sohc 4 cyl I am putting a new cylender head but I don't know how much torque to on the bolts that go from the head to the engine, some one told me that if they had to quess it would be 50 lbs but I should really get this right so if anyone can help me out it would make my day.

You tighten the bolts in sequence first to 22 ft-lbs then again in sequence to 33 ft-lbs. Lastly using a torgue angle gauge you tighten an additional 90 degrees in sequence.

You are using new head bolts? They stretch to obtain proper torque.
