Coolant temp sensor

I have a 95 Saturn SC2, 177,000 miles...If my coolant temp sensor is not working wold this make my AC not come on when I turn the switch on? How do I know if my coolant temp senor is not working?

It would not cause your AC problems. A nonfunctional ECTS would affect the engine idle, starting, fuel economy, specifically a sometime wildly fluctuating idle.
