I have a 96 Saturn SL2 with 151K miles. I have had a long string of problems so I will try and simplify and keep to what seems relevent. The car has a bad leak when it rains, that is yet to be discovered where from, that caused the electrical system to short out (locks, windows, truck working by themselves draining the battery) Well to save on mechanic charges on such an old car, we removed the fuses to these things, the car worked fine for close to 6 months. Then friday, I went to lunch and turned the car off but keep the accessory running for approximently 10 mins. Went to start the car and nothing. It was jump started, and nothing. It was towed to the mechanic, he put the battery on the charger and it started fine, worked all weekend. Tuesday morning went to go to work, battery dead, husband jump started started fine all day. Tuesday night go to start the car, dead again, the lights and the radio, everything works the engine just wont turn over. What should we try next? Thanks so much. Sorry it was long. I'm a woman you gotta expect wordy lol. :)

Either the alternater isn't charging right or there is a parasitic draw on the battery. IF you are "electrically friendly" you can check it yourself, if not have the shop do it. The latter can get involved.
