At a loss. Please Help

I have been working on my 1994 Saurn SL1 for 3 weeks
on and off.I finally got all the bolts off the timeeing Chain cover but it wont come off.I have checked over and over again looking at the Haynes manual and all. What am I missing?

Ask the dealer (Parts dept.) For a exploded view of the the cover. Or see if they have one to look at.

HI. I did that job to my 92 Saturn several years ago. I had the same trouble--I was using a Haynes manual also. I ultimately found that there was one capscrew which was rather well-hidden. I found it by tracing over every inch of the perimeter of the upper and lower covers--they are interlocked so you can't remove one without the other, if I recall correctly. Anyway, I recalled my frustration when I read your post, and thought I would mention it. I don't recall needing any special tool, but that dang capscrew was well-hidden. Good luck!
