Engine stalls

My car stalls sometimes whenever I press the gas when I've been waiting at a light or just sitting in drive. Sometimes it cuts off, and I have to restart my car. What could it be?

How many miles? Could just need a tune-up. Plugs, wires, PCV valve and the like. Also could use a good cleaning of the throttle body, IAC valve, and EGR valve.

Some other possible issues with the SOHC engine are leaking intake manifold gaskets (vacuum leaks) and cracks in the cylinder head casting.

Try the tune-up first. :)
