I did park my car in my garage and it smelled the whole garage up; smells like raw gas. The smell seems to be under my car closer to the rear wheels. I do not smell it arround the gas cap. Does not matter if the tank is full or close to empty. However it does seem to be a little stronger when full.
Sometimes while driving I can stop and smell fuel in the inside of the car. Not real strong but it is noticable.
What is bad? How do I get rid of the smell?

Thank You.

Most likely it's probably ur fuel pump has a cracked nipple where the fuel line comes off the fuel pump that's where I have seen leaks the most.U will have to look under the car and follow the fuel stain that the gas is leaving from leaking. If it is the pump u will have to remove the tank to diagnose and replace the pump. Let me know what u find also donations and feedback are greatly appreachiated.

I forgot to mention there are no signs of gas leaks on the ground. If you are correct I will gladly leave donation. So the only way I can check for gas stains is to remove the tank? The nipple you are talking about is it this part of the pump or can just the nipple be replaced. Someone locally mention something about a charcoal canister, what is that?

Thanks!

Yes that nipple Iam talking about is part of the the fuel pump fuel pump assembley and u would have to remove the tank to see it. When u have a fuel leak and u smell it in the back u look for fuel visually try looking under the car whille it's running and u have fuel pressure see if u can see fuel leaking. If u can't then unfornately u have to dig untill u find it when I had a car come that model and couldn't visually see a leak or gas stains then I had to assume the fuel tank or pump was leaking and pull the tank down only thing that makes sense right? Also they charcoal filter or canister as it's called is where ur fuel vapors that vent from the tank go no raw fuel is supposed to be in there. If a car came in and I couldn't see the leak but could smell it strongly then there has to be fuel comming from somewhere that's my best advice hope this helps. Let me know how it goes.
