I just had my heater core replaced by professionals and my mileage lightbulb is out. All the other lights on my dashboard are working, just not the one that shows how many miles I have on my car. It was working when I dropped it off and then was out when I picked it up. I called them imediately to let them know and they told me it was just a coincedence, that they went through the right side of my dash and it would be impossible for it to be their fault. So, needless to say, they are refusing to fix it for free. My question is, are they lying to me? Could it really just be a coincedence? Thank you.

It can just be a coincedence. But. Honestly, it sounds like they forgot to plug something back up. Replacing heater core always consist of removing the dash or at least disassembling the majority of it. I believe they just don't want to disassemble the dash again because it is quiet a job, so doing it for free is def. Not going to be on their to do list any time soon. You may want to check your fuses just to be sure one didn't blow "coincedentally"..

I hope this helps.
Thanks for using 2carpros. Com and have a Happy Holiday season !
