Why am I having to put so much antifreeze in my 2007 saturn ion 2. I will fill it up one day and then 2 or 3 days later i'm putting more antifreeze in the car. There are no leaks showing. Please help. Do you know why this is happening?

Hey Jallen,

I am not a mechanic; however, I have a Saturn Ion 3, and I have had some various issues with coolant. If you're leaking coolant, it's not going to be visible from what I understand, because it's leaking as it is driving. Now, it could be a water pump. The worst thing it could be is that there have been reports of coolant leaking into the cylinder heads. This is VERY bad. The remedy to fix this is to replace the cooling system and to replace the heads, but that's the whole frickin engine pretty much. So, I am not sure what exactly is going on, as I said I am not a mechanic, but you should get it inspected by a mechanic. Bear in mind, you might want to get rid of this car before it goes bad. It's advice I have heard from my mechanic, as well as people at Saturn as well. Hope this helps somewhat. Good luck.
