Transmission problem
2006 Saturn Ion 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 24000 miles

Could a battery being drained to 0.1 volts (parking lights left on), then installing new battery cause a transmission problrm? Problem being -- xmission not shifting up and check engine light being on. Check light off before battery drain, car pulled (in tow mode) behind motor home approx 1 mile, battery replaced then check light on.

Have the computer scanned for code/s-you have a problem within the engine management system that caused the CEL to turn on-This is your starting point of diagnosis, finding out what's going on

If its in the tow mode there's shouldn't be a problem-dead battery will cause the computer to lose ist memory could be the transmission has to relearn itself
