I am trying to just change the brake pads on my 05 saab 93. The problem is that the piston in the caliper doesnt want to retreat when I screw a c clamp on the the passenger side caliper piston. I screwed my c clamp so hard it actually bent the c clamp

Hi there,

you will need to screw in the piston with a special tool, see pic. You may damage the caliper if you over stress it with the clamp, i am unsure if you can get away with out using this tool, if a mechanic can view it first hand he will have a better idea if it can be done with out it.
