We have had an intermitant problem with the car for about a year now. It loses power and a light flashes on the screen, which I presume is the gear box light, after speaking with my garageman he said that he has other customers with the same problem and advised that when it does this to stop the car, turn the engine off for about 1 minute turn it back on and it will probably be fine - and this is what I do and it is fine. Yesterday and today the car is spluttering and losing power but the light is only coming on from time to time, the main problem is when I start and on going up hills. We have never had a manual with the car so unsure which reciprical is for what ( like gear box oil? ) It feels like it might be a fuel problem. What can you advise?
