2003 Renault Other Repair Question

Abs light and speedometer problems.
Brakes problem
2003 Renault 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 60000 miles
After having some ABS faults a new drive shaft with ABS ring was fitted to my renualt clio diesel
2003.
Following the reair I have an ABS light still standing and also the speedometer does not accuratley reflect my speed.
I believe this could be that the car computer requires resetting as the reair was not done by a renault dealer. I am worried if i take it to the renault specialsist they will try and rip me off. is this a fault that you ahve heard of.

There are a few independant garages that now have the software to reset the ECU .. it is just a matter of finding them i'm afraid ... your phone book would be a good place to start .. or ask at your local garage .. they may know someone ..
