Engine Mechanical problem
1998 Renault Megane 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 100.00 miles

hello,
I ran out of fuel today as I was pulling into the filling station and after fueling the engine was not running properly. I drove for 9 miles and it used around two gallons. I put a fuel treatment in and more fuel and then drove the 9 miles home but the car only seems to be running on a couple of cylinders with half the power. I have looked under the hood but it is all pretty hard to get to as its a renault. is there some fuel filter I can change out. i think it has injectors. Can anyone give me advice please, warm regards, Phillip

fuel filter is normally located under the car near the fuel tank in the fuel line ...have a a garage do a fuel pressure test .. and injector check .. 2 Gal in 9 miles is a lot of fuel to burn .. check there are no leaks on the fuel system ! hope this helps
