Hi guys, would it be possible to send me the removal and installation guide for the timing belt, as it is due?

Hello IMAFLYINGKIWI,

I can definitely look for you and see what I can find. I will just need a little more information for your vehicle.

I will need your engine size. Could you please tell me what size your engine is?
2.5L, 2.8L, or 3.6L

Also, if you could provide the sub-model that would help too.
Base, LT, WT, or Z71

If it is easier, you may also send your VIN.

I just want to make sure I am providing you with the best information I possibly can.

Thank you,
Brendon

Hello IMAFLYINGKIWI,

Okay, I believe I got everything together for you.

I would mark everything you can with a paint pen, I will add a picture of the one I use, to make sure everything goes back the way it came off.

I would also replace the water pump and timing belt tensioner while you are in there. I have added procedures for this as well.

A razor blade works well to remove gasket material, especially if you use it with a little oil.

I have also added the fluid capacities for you as well.

I would go to the dealer for all these parts. They will be able to go through the whole job and make sure you have all the parts you need, as well as what fasteners might be one time use.

I would also ask them if they have a parts kit for this job. Dealerships make parts kits so they can just put in one part number and every part is there that is needed. They more than likely have this for this job.

You may also be able to borrow a couple of special tools to do the job. The service manager or service writer should be able to help with that.

I think I have covered everything. Let me know if you need any additional information.

Thank you,
Brendon
