My wife's car has an aftermarket Pioneer radio. It was working one day and when I drove it the next it had no sound. Everything works on it just no sound. All the fuses looked good and I even got another factory amp (located under passenger seat) from the junkyard. I find it highly unlikely that both amps are bad. Also, there is no mute.

What is going to make this hard is the fact that it is an aftermarket radio so more then likely the wiring is not exactly the same any more. If you have swapped out the amp and there is still no sound the only other thing is the radio that could cause no audio only in all speakers based on what you have said.

If you think about it, the radio, amp, and fuses are the only thing that will effect all speakers equally.

What happens if you turn the sound all the way up? Do you get buzzing from the speakers?

I would suggest trying to find a donor stock radio from that junk yard as it will be cheaper then replacing the radio with another after market. Plus if you install it and it works, then you know the radio is the issue and they may even take it back from you for a "restocking" fee and then you can just go buy another unit.
