The radio will not turn off when I open my driver side door, but when I open my passenger door, it will.

Okay, I take it that you mean that when you leave the radio on and shut off the engine and the retained accessory power turns on it doesn't stop when you open the door. If you have power windows, do they act the same way as those are also part of the RAP feed? How about the interior lights do those come on when you open the door? If the lights come on but the radio doesn't turn off the most likely item is the door jamb switch in the A-pillar. It is what the body module looks at to turn the RAP off when you open the door. It is the switch that sticks out of the end of the dash panel, and it isn't hard to replace. First remove the trim panel under the dash on the drivers side. Then reach up in and you will see the connector on the back of the switch, unplug it. Then squeeze in the tabs on the switch and push it out of the hole it snaps into. Snap the new switch into the hole and connect it and re-install the trim panel and it should work again.
