I shut my car off. Go away and sometime later (I found the radio on when I went in to shop and when I was home so I don't know exactly when it starts up) and my radio starts up sometime after the car has been shut off. I seems this would be bad for my battery. My battery did have corrosion and I cleaned it off - could this be causing it?

THIS MAY NOT BE YOUR FIX

.............BUT NOTHING GETS HURT.....NO $$$ SPENT....JUST A LITTLE TIME IS INVOLVED

I USE LINKS TO KEEP ME FROM HUNTING AND PECKING FOREVER AND TO GET YOU LOTS OF INFO FAST!

UN-JEWG YOUR BATTERY

INSTALL A OLE "FULLY CHARGED" OR "NEW BATTERY".......IT SORTA DON'T MATTER.
.
.

INSURE CHARGING SYSTEM WORKS....A POPULAR AUTO PARTS STORE WILL DO IT FOR FREE MOST OF THE TIME
.
.

YOUR "POSSIBLE", "RUN DOWN" BATTERY MADE THE COMPUTER GO HAYWIRE......OR A WAS LIGHT ON, DOOR OPEN, A BAD BATTERY RELATED CONNECTION.....MAYBE EVEN A "PARASITIC DRAW" MADE THE VOLTAGE DROP

MAYBE "JUMPING" YOUR RIG, FIRED YOU UP.......MADE IT GO!!!............AND STILL IN THE BACKGROUND, THERE IS STILL AN ISSUE
.
.
.......MR. COMPUTER IS STILL HAYWIRE, FROM THE VOLTAGE DROP INITIALLY..........IT IS STILL RECOGNIZING LOW VOLTAGE! (IT HAS NOT BEEN RESET, AND GIVEN FULL VOLTAGE)

UN-JEWG-ING MR. BATTERY COMPLETELY AND MAYBE ......A.......10 MINUTE WAIT, SHOULD RESET MR. COMPUTER................BUT WAIT!!!

............LET'S GET THE BATTERY TESTED AT A POPULAR AUTO PARTS STORE!......THIS IS USUALLY A FREE SERVICE!.......OTHERWISE, WE MIGHT JUST BE CHASING OUR TAIL!

THEN INSTALL A "FULLY CHARGED" BATTERY (YOUR OLD ONE MAY BE OK--CHARGE IT)........CHARGE THE OLD BATTERY 1OO% OR IF IT'S BAD INSTALL A NEW ONE, BEFORE YOU HOOK IT BACK UP IN THE VEHICLE!

THEN IMMEDIATELY OFF TO THE PARTS STORE---FOR MORE TESTING!

........THIS TIME HAVE THE ALTERNATOR TESTED....WHILE IT'S STILL IN THE VEHICLE!...AND THE VEHICLE WILL STILL RUN

THIS IS A TEST YOU CAN DO AT HOME, TO SEE IF THE ALTERNATOR'S CHARGE REACHES THE BATTERY.........THIS MAY BE A BAD ALTERNATOR OR JUST A PROBLEM IN THE CIRCUIT (FUSE, FUSIBLE LINK, BAD CONNECTION)...........HOWEVER, THIS IS NOT A LOAD TEST, LIKE AT THE AUTO PARTS STORE........COOL THING IS, YOU WILL AT LEAST KNOW THE ALTERNATORS VOLTAGE IS GETTING BACK OVER TO THE BATTERY (IF NOT, IT MIGHT BE A SIMPLE DISCONNECTION OR A FUSE.......IT STILL COULD BE A BAD ALTERNATOR!

BAD CONNECTIONS...EVEN AT THE BATTERY MAY BE THE PROBLEM (THIS IS WHAT YOU SAID IN THE BEGINNING)

WE ALSO NEED TO REMEMBER........A BATTERY, AN ALTERNATOR, OR "ANY" AUTO PART CAN BE BAD........RIGHT FROM THE "GIT-GO!"......OR CAN "GO BAD" AT IN ANY LENGTH OF TIME!..........SO THE "I PUT A NEW ANYTHING IN LAST MONTH" MAY NOW BE NULL AND VOID! (I SEE IT ALL OF THE TIME)

LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU FIND

THIS MAY HELP IF YOU NEED A NEW BATTERY OR ALTERNATOR

DON'T FEEL OBLIGATED TO WASTE YOUR MONEY.........THE OLE SUPER CYBER PHONE CAN DO THIS TASK RIGHT IN THE AUTO PARTS STORE'S PARKING LOT

"A124" IS STILL VALID AND WORKING!

IF I WAS OF NO HELP.......YOU NOW KNOW HOW TO SAVE $$$ AT THE PARTS STORE....AND OTHER PLACES TOO!

GIMME SOME FEED BACK!
