Recently my transmission went out on my car, when that happened, all of the lights and the lock system malfunctioned, the headlights and such won't turn off even when turned completely off of the lever. Can the transmission cause this issue? Or am I looking at a serious wiring issue

It sounds like you have a computer issue. Depending on what failed in the transmission it could have sent power onto the data lines and damaged the PCM.
It would take a good scan tool to test the system and see if the issue is with the PCM. Wiring wise those systems are on different circuits. It is possible that the power center has a problem but unless the trans exploded I doubt it is wiring.
