Car in the garage for many years without starting the engine

What step i need to do before trying to start the engine? The engine haven't started for years while the car is in the garage. can you please give me some advice. Thank you.

I would pull the plugs and shoot some 5w20 oil into the cylinders before cranking it. It will help for a quicker compression and give some lubrication to the now dry cylinders. With the plugs out, I would turn the motor over with a socket and breaker bar on the crank to get some movement in those cylinders.
