I have had this 2006 Cayman S for three months and never seen the engine because I don't know how to access it. Could someone help me please?

Its actually very simple.First you will need a little plastic pry bar to pop up the carpet adjacent to the small trunk opening.THE PIC BELOW WILL SHOW IT AND THE "P" IS YOUR STARTING POINT TO PRY..Pry it all around and becareful to not damage or scratch anything as the paint is known as "soft paint."Remove it.Then if you have the tool you will need a torx bit T30. I believe there are six of them.Remove them and the cover.You will now see the top of the engine.
If you are standing behind the license plate of your veh,the air filter is on the LEFT CORNER (black tubular object).
