2004 Pontiac Vibe is my blower motor going out?

2004 Pontiac Vibe 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 85000 miles
my ac stop blowing. i tapped under the glove box and it started working. i looked in back of the glove box and found an air filter, all cloged with dirt. i cleaned it and ordered a new one. the ac actually blows harder than before. My question is did I fix it?

That is the cabin air filter, and if clogged, it will affect fan operation.
You should change it every year.
