I have a thump or a click sound under the dash on the passenger side when car is running.

Raise car, put on stands. Inspect passengers side firewall area for loose exhaust shields, loose bolts, missing exhaust hangers.
If noise is there when car is moving, then also inspect inner CV boots for leaks as well as axle bearings.
Also inspect motor mounts for wear.
