I have a 2001 sunfire with 73,000 mi 2.2L. Just recently i hvae had alot fo problems with it, it makes a clicking sound when i go to start it but then wont start. Some times i don't have this problem at all. I replaced the starter/battery/alternator/starter wires/ put in a starter relay. And none of them seem to have fixed it, it still has the problem more often then not. Also recently, i was driving (arpox 20mph) and all of the indicator lights came on and once and a second after that happened all of the gages went completly down to zero except the odometer. Then go off after like 3 seconds. And about everyother time i get in my car the theft system light and the service light comes on after i have been driving it for like 5-10mins., Please help me i have nooo idea what is wrong with my car!! :(

I'm experiencing similar problems with my 1999 Pontiac Sunfire. When I first bought it from someone back in the early spring it was running fine, except for some minor cosmetic problems and steering issues that I got fixed. Yesterday I drove it home from a repair source and it got me home okay. But when I went to go start it up again to clean it I found it wouldn't start, theft system light came on, when it was in park it continued to roll forward even with my emergency brake on. The only thing that stopped it was when I put my foot on the brake while taking it to the highest brake setting. I haven't been able to find help anywhere with this problem.
Are you having additional problems like these?
