I have a 2002 pontiac sunfire 92,000 miles.
the engine light comes on periodically, and the acceleration is sluggish. I've changed the spark plugs, wires, fuel filter and air filter. Does anyone have an answer for this problem?

I ran a diagnostics check and I got "code P0130 Oxygen Sensor" I guess that's the problem, but I wonder if it would change acceleration performance

If its the one after the cat, check the cat. Did you put an aftermarket exhaust on? If so check the 02 sesors wires

Ok, I replaced the upstream oxygen sensor because that's what the diagnostics check indicated. I bought a Bosch OEM part # 13191 oxygen sensor and proceeded to replace the old one. Come to find out my old sensor has a 4 wire connection (2 white, 1 gray, 1 black) and the new one has only 2 (1 black wire, and 1 gray wire). I decided to go ahead and replace the sensor, but I replaced the new harness with the old one which has 4 slots. I inserted the black and gray wrires into the 4 slot harness and connected that end to the other. I'm not sure if I made the right connections or if crossed them, or I actually need a 4 wire connection. Do You have any idea on this?
