Been to several places to diagnose a problem where the car makes a squeaking and light griding noise when I make right turns. Almost sounds like old springs squeaking and grinding. Also, sometimes I will hear a "pop" when I brake. I've been told it could be the brushing, the cv joint, the steering box, or the struts. But no one can give me a straight answer. Was quoted $600 by a pontiac dealer who diagnosed it as the steering box. I was also told that it might take more $$$ to fix other areas, such as the struts and the cv joints. Already spent $200 on the brushing - that a mechanic said was the problem but now the noise is worse. Please advise. Going broke fast on an otherwise great car and can't seem to get the proper diagnosis. Thanks a bunch. JJ
