the theft system has activated in my car not only will it not stay runninng but the key will not turn to the lock position so I cant get the key out why would this just suddenly come on and how do I get the key out

Check the vehicle is in park correctly. The anti theft system will not stop the key from being removed from vehicle.

PASSWORD LEARN PROCEDURE
NOTE:Password must be learned when IPC or ignition switch is replaced.

Attempt to start vehicle. Leave ignition on until THEFT SYSTEM indicator turns off (approximately 10 minutes). Turn ignition switch off. Attempt to start vehicle. If vehicle starts, password is learned.
