1998 Pontiac Sunfire just stopped working

Hi Laura. There is a couple of things you can check before you have to go to a mechanic. Do this when the eng is off. Unplug the plug at the ac compressor. Plug it back in. Try the a/c now still not working. Turn car off. Under the hood up near the back of the hood you will see a shiny aluminum canister. There is a plug here on the tank unplug it plug it back in. Start car check a/ c. If no avail check all fuses. If all good you will need someone qualified to check the refrigerant in the system. Hope this helps. If I can help please write back billymac
